Recently @askartsgirl has been offline and not posting. This post is just to inform on the reasons for the lack of posts being uploaded.

With everything happening recently in 2020, there was a lot to handle. Having to complete a final semester, continue as a dancer, come to terms in adapting in quarantine has taken a toll. This recent experience has opened so many alternatives on how @askartsgirl will operate moving forward.

Getting to Know Myself

Quarantine has definitely become a time to get to know yourself. Being in lockdown created a wonderful retrospective on myself. Learning to love myself and understand myself more was an eye opener.

Being in your own company and learning to pick up and fine tune talents is fun.

Tapping into the changes necessary for the blog

After much consideration @askartsgirl will be taking a slightly new direction. The themes and context of content created will be different. As the blog is centered around art, fashion and dance; content will have legal advice. Legal advice will have issues addressed such as contracts, registering yourself as a creative business etc.

The blogs change will assist in creating a more detailed content that assists creatives.

Getting new inspirations

Inspirations for deciding on the direction of the blog. Quarantine and other events happening around the world has created new inspirations.

One if these was creating mood boards and goals for the blog. Art, dance videos and fashion designs by different creators assisted in tapping into new goals.

Practicing on creative skills

Quarantine and lockdown assisted in spending time in perfecting creative talents. Watching software tutorials, art tutorials and dancing to choreographies helped.

Finding out what needed improvement, the art, dance and creative style was an eye opener. As a result has changed how I view @askartsgirl going long-term.

Conclusion

2020 has provided many new obstacles to overcome. Rethinking how @askartsgirl will operate moving forward was a necessary step. The context for content may change slightly to give legal advice and improvements in the blog. We still live by our motto Live Your Creativity.
