Centering is not just a spiritual thing, as a creative you have to take the time to find what grounds you and use it to the best ability you can.

When your mind is cluttered or you are stressed you can’t execute your best work. Work can become a chore and rushed and therefore set you back even further. Making time to ensuring your mind frame is calm will lead to level headed thinking and for you to pursue your work in the best way possible.

Mantras have different forms in Buddhism, Indian culture and Taoism; and they have their specific teachings to follow. Research is crucial before deciding to follow a mantra for mediation in order to use it effectively.

  • Spiritual meditation

Spiritual meditation has you look inward at your self and reconnecting with The Spirit or Diving Being. This can vary depending on your own spiritual beliefs. In religions such as Christianity meditation would be more related to focus; based around prayer that is centered on teachings in the Bible.

For people who are more spiritual based outside religion the mediation would possibly center around inner peace, ego death etc to become the highest awakened form.

This mediation is as the name suggests, it involves simple movements. these can include walks, dancing, cooking etc. This involves mindfulness as you move and you become concentrated in your breathing and movements to calm yourself.

Breathing may seem like an easy thing since you do it all the time. Breathing exercises can really help you re-center yourself.

Controlled breathing where you count while you breathe in and out is a good way to start. You can do this when you’re anxious or afraid. It doesn’t have to happen when you are about to perform something; it can be done when have free time do so.

Re-direct Your Energy

Being able to change where your energy is placed is very important. There is no point in being stuck in negative energy or emotions of having a bad day or someone getting you upset.

There is so much grace and strength in being able to put it into your art. A way you can do this you can go to a dance studio or an art studio of your choice and letting it out. Refocusing on pouring a passion into letting things go is good for your energy and peace as a creative. You cannot harbour things that aren’t doing much for you and negatively impacting how you create altogether.
