Surround yourself with dancers

It’s very important to surround yourself with people you can learn from. Reba McEntire
I think it’s counterproductive in many ways to pretend to know things you don’t. You surround yourself with people who are the real experts. Mario Andretti
Sometimes when you have a strong passion to pursue dance- we tend to assume we know a lot. Get accustomed with making friendships or mentorship from more experienced dancers. In the long run you will get accustomed to being a dancer and becoming a phenomenal dancer in your own way.
If you end up having long term friendships- you will be informed of shows and events to participate in. They will always consider you and how well you dance when they inform you of dance classes or events.
Start going for dance & fitness classes

Signing up for dance classes and fitness classes is essential if you want to become a dancer. Dance involves utilizing your whole body and being in shape is crucial. Going to the gym or making use of fitness training programs is important in building strength and stamina. Yoga can increase flexibility and keep you fit for participating in dance classes.
Dance classes to consider are hip hop, contemporary, ballet and ballroom classes. Ballet classes will set a foundation for basics in dance that will make it easier to learn routines in hip hop, contemporary and high heel classes.
Participate in dance events/shows

Being a part of events or shows that use dancers can build up confidence and your stamina. Events such as festivals and entertainment shows usually have dancers to assist in hyping the crowd.
Keep an eye out for shows or events in your area that you sign up for to be a part of. You will get an opportunity to be trained by professionals and learn how events and shows work.
Enjoy Yourself

You may tend to make mistakes and be flustered by everything you have to endure- just have fun with it.As a beginner to a new dance style or dance in general, it can be annoying when you can’t catch routines.
Don’t get put off by it, take it as a learning experience and come back with an open mind. Treat the difficult steps as a fun experience and you’re bound to catch on in no time.
Conclusion

Learning different dance styles and making new workout routines to get yourself to your best shape can be intimidating. Just go in with an open mind and have fun with the whole experience. You will get the hang of becoming a dancer in no time.
